Our logs are sourced from a local family-run business, T. J. Ewbank. As a company they are committed to the environment and work with the woodland trust to replant trees here in Cumbria.

The sauna will be nice and hot for your arrival. You can choose whether to start cold by taking a plunge, or jump straight into the löyly (Finnish word for steam rising from hot stones).
The beauty of having an hour-long session is being able to take it slow. Enjoy 3-4 rounds of steam followed by cooling down in the fresh Cumbrian air, the plunge pool or even a dip in the lake.
There is a sand timer in the sauna, your time in the heat could be between 5-15 minutes. It is important that you listen to what your body needs.
Enjoy hanging out with your friends, meeting new people, or having some quiet reflection. The glass door and window allow you to marvel at the view of the fells and lake. When your session is over, there is a hot shower in the Sheep Shed and beautiful coffee available in the hotel.

Please be mindful that people will be coming to relax and sometimes putting the tech down is the best way to do that.
